Apex was selected for the preparation of the Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements for this planned unit development for 3 plats with up to 700 lots on 170 acres. Our planning staff coordinated with the entire EIS Team, which included; traffic, geotechnical, archeological, wetland and habitat consultants.
Apex demonstrated throughout the life of this project that developing mitigation recommendations and understanding the implementation of mitigation measures was key for this master planned community. Apex also coordinated the preparation of road and sewer engineering studies. |
Lakeland Hills South -
Planned Unit Development |

In charge of planning and engineering services for 3,400 unit planned community on 765 acres. Apex provided support for clubhouse design, 900 lots, multi-family pad sites, and construction or relocation of utilities such as power, water and related sewer issues.
Apex oversaw design of more than 7,000 lineal feet of arterial including the design of Lakeland Hills Way and Evergreen Way drive as major infrastructure developed in association with the lots. Apex was instrumental in the implementation of the mitigation measures and programs of the original environmental approvals as part of entitlement for plats, multifamily and commercial development on the site. |
Lynch Creek Gravel Pit Expansion |

This project is a 20 acre expansion to the existing Lynch Creek Gravel Pit Operation. Apex planning staff prepared and submitted the Conditional Use Permit and Shoreline Substantial Development Permit to Pierce County.
Apex was also required to coordinate the consultant team which included; traffic, wetland, wildlife habitat, and geotechnical consultants for preparation of specific studies. Coordination with County staff was key to successfully managing the project timing and County approvals. |
