Project Engineer

Civil Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years civil engineering experience.
Civil Engineering (PE) license in Washington State is preferred.
AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D skills.
Experience in water resources planning and hydraulic analysis.
Familiarity with AWWA, design methods, standards, and specifications.
Possess time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be a decisive, positive, detail-oriented civil engineering professional who can work independently and communicate well with team members.

Civil Engineer Role & Responsibilities

Prepare and produce reports, specifications, plans, and designs for projects.
Evaluate the need for design changes and makes appropriate recommendations.
Attend onsite, offsite, and virtual meetings.
Use engineering and design software and equipment to prepare documents.
Submit documents to federal, state, and local agencies for code compliance review and obtains permits required.
Provide excellent client service. Maintain good relationships with client to assure future work.
Work closely with CAD Designers, Engineers, and Surveyors to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
Visit project sites to review conditions/conflicts as appropriate.
Maintain neat and orderly work area, which will allow access to project information to other team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
